The project
MexicoPR.com has been publishing since 2008. It focuses on the Mexican and Latin American market and runs press release distribution, brand management, media relations and digital PR campaigns. The site covers news, economy, business, technology, culture, politics, startups and tourism.
The problem
The content is produced in Turkish while part of the readership sits in Latin America. A single-language site reaches neither that audience nor local search results. News sites make this harder than catalogue sites: new articles go up every day, so translation and language tagging have to run inside the daily routine rather than as a separate project.
What we are building
The existing WordPress setup stays in place and a multilingual publishing structure is built on top of it: a separate URL structure per language, hreflang tags, a language switcher in the top bar and categories that split by language. Every new article moves through the same flow into its language versions, with no second site and no second admin panel.
Status
Turkish publishing continues uninterrupted. Language versions go live on the same URL structure as they become ready.
